Die Szene erinnert an die Zeiten, als um den Martinstag am 11. November gro\u00dfe G\u00e4nsescharen aus den umliegenden D\u00f6rfern auf den st\u00e4dtischen Markt getrieben wurden. Passend dazu wurde der Brunnen am Martinsfest 1901 eingeweiht.
